Emo Poems

Emo poetry is both emotional and very personal. The emo poems are emotionally provocative and in most cases they recall things that are difficult to talk about with people. Painful memories or experiences, suicidal thoughts, or any other kind of emotion. However, it doesn’t mean that all poetry follows the above themes. They are just examples of the strong emotions that can be expressed through an emo poem.

The largest difference between emo poems and other type of poems is that the aim of the writer is to simply express the feelings and memories he or she wants others to know. It’s like a release of emotion in words! In the case of emo poetry, the quality of the emo poems is weighed by how well the emotional feelings are expressed.

For example, take a look at the poem below found on the emo poems section on our emo forum!

  • What is Pain? What is Love?
    Does anyone have an answer?
Pain, it seems, is love’s partner,
You can’t have one without the other.
    Love consumes, Pain inflicts,
Both can make you want to die.
Both can make you want to cry.
