EMO Hairstyles - Smoky Eyes
Smoky eyes are usually for emo girls but I have seen emo boys with some make-up to enhance their eyes. Boys should however keep it to dark/ black 'smoke'.
As well as watching the video that will go through all the steps you need to follow in order to achieve that smokey eye look I have also composed some steps for you.
Step 1 - Gently apply a light shade of a concealer dye just under and above the eye and top lid.
Step 2 - Using the eye pencil of your choice, line the top and bottom rims. At this stage you must pay close attention so that you are actually going into the lash line itself. For women with smaller eyes, start from the middle of the eye lid and carry on to the outside of the eye. 
Step 3 - Using a small eye shadow brush gently softne the edges of the eye pencil line you have just done in stage 2. Using either a sponge tip applicator or a smudge brush apply a dark shadow over the area you have penciled and smudge it a little - if these tools are not available to you, you can use your fingers. This shadow will help to soften the final look.
NOTE - Pay close attention so you don't have any of this in your eyes. If you do, then wash thoroughly and follow the other instructions often writen on such packages or it may irritate your eye leading to inflammation and maybe even more serious injuries!
Step 4 - Apply a lighter shadow with one of your larger eye shadow brushes. The woman in the video session uses a wet/dry brush but it is not necessary. In order to succeed you need to circle around the entire eye area and do your best to blend this in towards the outside - Now you can finally add mascara!
Step 5 - Clean up your eyes of any shadow that may have fallen down below the eye area with a brush of your choice.
HINT - To achieve a more dramatic look you can add more shadow or mascara on top of the current one and also curl your lashes if you feel necessary.
Step 6 - Now that we are done with the eyes, don't forget to use that sheer coloured lipstick to enhance your lips and repeat the procedure for your cheeks (not the whole procedure, just the sheer colouring! ). Well done! You have not got THE emo hair look!
